I had a similar experience. I've applied for a few different stores. I finally had an interview two weeks ago. Still haven't heard anything back. Trying to be patient. Hopefully someone will let me know something soon. I have emailed both the recruiter that called me and the interviewer and neither will reply. Guess that's not too good of a sign. We shall see.
Did you get the job.?

I just got the call today from HR giving me my offer and explaining what the next steps are. But i have one question, What is the difference between part time training and full time training? The store manager told me that i could choose either one (i was hired as a part time RSC), But the Staffing manager didnt explained that to me, she just told me that my training will be in Orlando, FL on Feb 21 which is a Friday (i thought it was weird). So can someone explain this to me? Thanks!

You have made it this far, and they do the background checking before they ever decide to start calling you, if they are interested in you. If they are not then they will let you know "we are not considering you for this position at this time". So if you havent gotten this message, then sit tight it takes sometimes longer to hear but after about 2-3 months if you havent heard anything, then touch base with them if you have been given the number from the hiring department! They will let you know what you need to do and when!
Sounds like you are in the minority. AT&T is excellent to work for. They do not want robots, they want people that interact and you can tell by the extensive training and all the resources they give you to succeed.
I worked there for 5 YEARS and it was a high stressful job and all of my coworkers would agree that At&t is a terrible place to work at, they really don't respect part time employees even if you have seniority and are going to school. If you have to close on a saturday from 11:30am-9:30pm you can bet that you are not leaving on time and if you have a saturday morning meeting (which is more of a waste of time because managment will only focus on how much you suck and how much the store sucks rather than coaching and helping you attain the ridiculous goals ) you have to show up at 6am-830am and then come back at11:30am to close oh and sorry if you closed last night and didn't leave till 11pm because the manager decided to stay open until 9:30 instead of 9pm when the store's door should be closed. So yes you never have a social life if you are trying to balance work, school, and family and if you have friends

AT&T Forum - Hiring Process in San Jose Prem Tech job: I decided to post on this forum because ...
I decided to post on this forum because I had alot of questions while going through tgis process. In early November 2013 I applied online to AT&T Premises Technician Position. I recieved an email on Dec 1 saying come in on the 7th to take the TMF II test. I looked online at forums like this to get information about the test so I could study, I was tested with about 20 other people, try not to be late because those people were immediately sent home. Only 5 people including myself passed the test. I received an Email over a month later inviting me to the RJP and Premises Technician Assessment. At the Assessment there were Regional area managers and garage managers going over things to expect on the job. At first they were making the job seem really bad ex(having to work tons of overtime and never knowing when your actually going home, as a new tech having to work late into the night, having to work in scorching summer heat and sometime having to work in Attics that are over 130 degrees, being chased and in some cases bitten by dogs, having to work in customers houses that have very unsanitary conditions, having to go out and fixed a wacked up job one of your other co-workers did and figure out how to fix his mistake,etc..) If you attend a RJP you'll know what im talking about. But overall this job pays pretty well to only require a highschool diploma and common sense and they have a pretty good benefit package. But as a new tech you get the worst shift in the evening so prepare to be doing late nights and everything at AT&T is awarded by seniority so new techs pretty get the leftovers. But anyways after my RJP and Assessment I was sent an email two days later saying: Thanks for attending the Realistic Job Preview for the Premises Technician position and completing the assessment. We wanted to pass on the good news...you're being included with the group of qualified applicants for further assessment. What will happen next? We will continue to review your qualificatio

AT&T Forum - Great place to work: [QUOTE who="CCR I in Atwater, California...
I have been with AT&T for a little over 3 months and it is BY FAR, the WORST job that I have ever had! One of the tech managers at the call center that I worked for died of a heart attack.
I can deal with customers calling up and yelling and cussing. Honestly, I sympathize with the customers as AT&T treats it's customers the same way that it treats it's employees.
While working there, I encountered an overwhelming number of politics with managers being extremely unprofessional. There seems to be this whole "Selling the Dream" Psychological mumbo jumbo that the management pushes on their employees from Day 1 that "You Too Can Become an AT&T Manager!" but based on what I've seen it's about who you know, who you party with, and who you sleep with in the building.
When you walk in that door, you sell your soul to AT&T. Once you are there and in training, they can place you in ANY department based on the "needs of the business ". They also require Mandatory overtime during certain events AND change your schedule as little as 2 days in advance without as much as a "Sorry for the Inconvenience".
The managers there are some of the most unprofessional that I have ever encountered and seem to get some type of sadistic pleasure in lying to your face! The Union is a joke and just seem to take your money but do very little to improve the work enviornment in return.
If anyone is considering working for AT&T, good luck with your decision but please be aware of what you are getting yourself into!
I went in there asking for H.R.'S # and they gave me a # that keeps hanging up on me the security guard was told to give me the wrong # uuufff i drove to Atwater for nothing, can you give me a# so i can call and reach H.R. please

I've been through hireright's process a few times. Common Sense and the ability to do their own job, does apply to this company. Literally gave them all necessary information and resources to contact people. But, they want you to do their job. Sorry hireright not this time. Pushed the envelope right back, told them to try Google and or/ the phone. I'm curious how much one pays to hire these lazy, non English speaking immigrants.
I Started with the selection process for a services tech the week before thanksgiving 2013, its now going into the third week of January almost 60 days. Has anyone else had the same problems with HireRight not getting documentation back to AT&T?
My contact at AT&T says that I'm at 91% complete, we have already talked about pay and benefits and a verbal offer has been made. The problems seem to be with HireRight's fax number being inoperable; the testing centers (Physical Exam and Lift Test) I have called them directly and they said it was sent in already over 3 weeks ago.
Let me know if anyone else is having the same or similar problems.
Im having the same problem nowwith my drug test also

Today I was offered a position as a contractor with a 3rd party staffing firm to be a project manager for some of at&t's technical projects in the midwest.
I'm filling out background check stuff and am wondering if my DUI from last year will bar me from employment. This is a 100% remote office position and there is no driving required.
Any thoughts?

You'll be fine! The interview is with Your store region manager. Their generally really cool cause their main job is strictly motivational purposes. My store manager didn't interview me but she told me during my second interview that I was hired. It might be different for you, and will take like 2 or 3 days to get back at you. My training is in Cerritos right now. Next week is my last week and it's pretty interesting stuff. Very long hours or it feels like it atleast. If you have any other questions, email me at Jonnydagher@yahoo.com cause I don't check this to often. Im more than happy to answer all your questions :)
Yeah, probably. They updated my position stating "Other Candidate Selected". But Still I have another application "Resume forwarded to hiring manager for review" and two other applications in "Resume acknowledged" status. Let's see where these lead to!!
I just looked like 2 weeks ago and the job I interviewed for and basically thought I had with information from the hiring manager was canceled. I guess they hired so much or either kept the contracted workers for that position (since you don't pay benefits to them) that they just eliminated it for now. Oh well that's how the cookie crumbles, lol.

AT&T Forum - raises?: fellow employees, can you give us an ide...
fellow employees, can you give us an idea of what to expect for raises? I'm hearing you get a raise every 6 months due to the Union, and an additional raise every February. Is this right? what can we expect? 50 cents or a dollar every time? Or only about 20 cents? Is the one in February usually smaller than the other raises? Or bigger or anything? I know time will tell, but I'd like to get an idea of my finances. I know the hourly caps out at about 14 or so but I was just curious. I've been talking to my manager about the track towards becoming an assistant. But I'd like to know what I might be making in a couple years. Thanks for any input!

AT&T Forum - What a mess! Forced to re-start training.: training was a lot better the second tim...
training was a lot better the second time around. The instructor was great and very helpful. No bullying or passive aggressive behavior. Much better experience, although I'm learning that the miscommunication and run around is company wide. still completely ridiculous I had to do the training again, but I got paid for it so whatever. I have been on the sales floor for a month and I'm talking to my boss about getting me on a track to becoming assistant by this time next year. The CEO went to the same college as me, and started as a technician at the bottom of the chain. He climbed his way up, and so can I. Maybe then, I can start working on all these issues. Until then, competition is going to keep creeping up on this company and forcing them to improve.

AT&T Forum - Getting Hired at AT&T - My Story:
2 ...
2 weeks after my in-store interview, after almost giving up on hearing back from AT&T, I got a call from the HR recruiter. She extended me a formal offer, contingent on background & drug test. I was offered $11.42/hr ( Full Time ), with an "Annual targeted at-risk variable compensation " between $14,400 and $15,600 (that's estimated commission). Being a full time job, it also included full benefits. This included med/ dental /etc. Since it was a union represented job, it also included guaranteed raises every 6 months, and a few other things like that. I received an email detailing the offer aswell, and there was an online portal I went to where I actually signed the offer letter.
THE BACKGROUND CHECK:
AT&T uses a company called HireRight to process background checks & drug tests. I have heard a lot of bad things about them, but I knew my record had nothing to hide. After a few days, they said they needed tax records to prove employment dates at one of my previous employers. These records had to be W2's, 1099's, or pay stubs, NOTHING else. I had records of everything except for the end date, since 2011 W2's hadnt been issued yet, and I no longer had access to pay stubs. But after running around like crazy, I was able to find a pay stub from 2011, all good.
I took the drug test at a local facility, which was really convenient. After 4 days, my HireRight online account showed the report was complete.
TIP: Contact HireRight via live chat, or phone support once your background report says complete, and ask for a copy of the report. They will email it to you, and you'll be able to see the full report that AT&T see's, so you can dispute things if anything is incorrect.
Do you list the contact of your previous employers numbers or do they search up the company and call them?
