Hi I'm in central Missouri and provided I get the job offer I will be training soon. I need to know where I -could- be training in order to prepare my home life for me being away. I've been reading up on the forums and I know previously it was 2 weeks at a training facility then a week in local store then a week back at the training facility. What is it like now? Any idea where I would likely go being from Mid-Missouri? I'm just worried 48hrs will not be a big enough window to make the necessary arrangements and really do not want to have to say no to a training date. TIA

No guaranteed pay raises. These are based on union contract renewal and extensions. If the bargaining unit cannot reach an agreement wages stay stagnant. Probably will not rescind your offer as long as you didn't say you graduated high school on your application.
Hey guys! So I just finished my application process with AT&T. Everything with HireRight has been completed. 1. Do you know how long it takes to hear from your recruiter after everything is done? To know yu got the job for sure? I also my dates were messed up! I put 2013 when it was supposed to be 2011. And I was a month off.... 2. Does anyone see this as being a problem? Thanks for your help everyone:)
1: My background took under a week to complete. HireRight actually contacted my previous employer the next day after I submitted all the relevant information. What kept the process delayed was background check through the court system. Keep in mind that every city and state will differ. Remember, if you're in the background stage of the hire process that mean you've got the job IF YOU DIDN'T LIE ON YOUR BACKGROUND or certain conviction appear or of course the drug test. I would say hope to hear back within a week, expect two weeks. 2: If I remember correctly and take this with a grain of salt, you can be off by 3 months on the dates you've listed for past job/school history before you raise "suspicions" and your job offer is rescinded. If you know the exact dates, either A. Contact HireRight through phone or B. login to your HireRight account and correct the information. If you fail the background check, I believe you get 48hrs to correct any errors that appeared. AGAIN TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT! :-) It's my 3rd month with ATT and loving it!

I had a petty theft charge from almost 7 years ago and was still given the job at AT&T. I think what really plays a role is the amount of time that has passed from your offense. I remember after my background check had passed, the HR manager who was dealing with my hiring asked me if my character still reflects the past and if take responsibility for my actions ...and of course I owned up to it and explained how I grew from it and would never do such a thing again. What I would recommend based on my experience is before your background check is finished but after you've submitted everything, is get into contact with the HR manager and explain how you grew from your mistakes and what you've learned. I think they want to hear that you're mature enough to take responsibility from what you've done . I know you don't want to hear this, but if I had to bet money I would say that you wouldn't get the position because of recent the offense occurred. Good luck!
I'm not sure how you can be certain of that, but if you're right and my instructor was wrong, it still doesn't make much difference to me. We went to the same school, and he definitely worked his way up from somewhere, and that's motivation enough for me to keep moving. My goal right now is to become a director of sales, which is just 3 steps up after ASM, or director of sales, making $100k+ in those positions. I'll take it from there. When I joined the company, I spoke to a rep about how strange it was that the Next program charged you basically twice for your phone by still charging you subsidized rate and didn't give you a discount for being off contract and he acted like I was insane. One month later, the company introduced discounts for off contract. Two weeks ago, I mentioned to a rep that the company is going to have to offer $25 off instead in the near future to make the Next program work and remain competetive in the market and move away from subsidies. On Sunday, they did just that. It's my big-picture mindset that's going to get me places. Is that a guess or deductive reasoning?
Not to be rude, but that was common knowledge. You visit any tech website and every other comment will say the same things you did. Not impressive. Knowing more than the customer isn't what makes someone qualified for a director of sales position, knowing how much the customer doesn't know and profiting on it does. I know Rackham's "Super employee" spill can be annoying, but he has good intentions. This is his way of giving back, and I can respect that even if I can't agree with it.

My situation is kind of weird, ok I applied about 3 weeks ago, got a call to go in for a interview with a hiring manager which went well. The next day I was told I had a second interview with the store manager and that also went well. The store manager contacts me 2 days later and told me I was chosen for the position and welcomed me to the team, he also informed me I should be hearing from hr soon about screenings. That was the best news I've ever got in my life so I took my family out to celebrate the achievement and also informed other family members that I got the job I've always wanted. Three days later the manager contacts me again and tells me that his boss wants him to interview more people. I didn't take the news as anything bad because I didn't thing he would go back on his decision. It has been a week now and I haven't heard from him. I checked my status and it says " completed" but the job posting is "open" and there is a "withdraw" also there...anybody knows what's going on? I'm I still safe?

The guy who climbs the pole shouldn't try to compare his experience in that department to ours. It is a completely different set of circumstances. Sure maybe you get treated great, but not in the stores. I have worked for AT&T for 3 years now, and the past year has been a nightmare. every manager I have has asked me to commit an ethics violation. They want you to lie and cheat customers at every turn. Even my DOS asked me to "pretend you don't know they have unlimited data." My area sales manager told me not to go over the Next Disclosures, that it just confuses the customer (even though it is required by law). We have two early morning meeting every week one of which I have to drive 45 minutes to get to. I am a part-time employee and I have to keep reminding them they are working me too many hours. They want to work me full time hours but not give me full time benefits. I never receive my union contractually required breaks or lunches. The only way you can be successful at AT&T is to sell your soul, have no self worth, and no integrity. The reality is the job does pay decent (by no means is it amazing and it is going down every year), and AT&T knows we are in a crap economy. They don't give a crap about you. You are a number and they have 5000 unsuspecting people lined up to replace you. So they can treat you however they want. Everyone at my store hates their job and wants to quit, but they pay just enough to keep the people taking the abuse because they know these people with no other real skills can find a job that pay any better. I finish my masters in May and I already have another job lined up when I graduate. I thank God I will be out of that hell hold in a few months.

Hello, I have a question... I currently have my license suspended. I was laid off in October from my job and eventually was rehired back on January 6,2014. I was never able to collect on unemployment thus this prevented me from being able to pay the remaining court cost to get my license re-instated. I am trying to get my taxes done to get this resolved. I do have my passport and all but being they do background checks would this disqualify me in any way

Hey all, I was wondering if there was anything I need to know on the first interview. It says to bring a copy of names and addresses for employment and school history. Is that a real expectation? Also, any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated! I have 5 years of sales experience with 3 carriers, so I am not new to this by any means. I still never find I can know too much. Cheers!
